The Journey Begins Here

Have you ever thought of this? Have you ever had these questions, or wondered what if. It is not our responsibility to answer the questions of the universe, nor is it our quest to do so for others, but we owe it to ourselves, to find ourselves. To seek and find who we are, or may be missing.  I am lucky to finally have an opportunity to work with my wife in a spiritual practice and explore what life is all about.

Tomorrow Refuge Recovery Kalamazoo will have it’s first meeting. It will be humbling, it will be interesting and it will be entertaining. Tomorrow, we will have the opportunity to meet with one another (and meet my wife who will be teaching yoga after our meeting) and to explain how the Refuge has helped me, how it has changed my outlook on life, and how it is helping me to maintain my sobriety. Our first meeting will be a meet and greet basis and will be an introduction to how the program works. There will be a lot of information given to the members who arrive and sit with us.

We are excited to begin this journey with you. I am personally excited to share my story and my progress. Our first meeting will be Tonglen Meditation. This will be an nice introduction to meditation to those who are new to the concept, followed by a discussion regarding how the meditation makes us feel and open for suggestions.

I look forward to seeing you all there.

-Namaste
