Sometimes things just happen that way!

What a crazy week. There has been a lot going on, new dates and times, new members, a large outreach to the community. We are expecting big things at Refuge as we are planning on taking the show on the road. That’s right, you could see us at YOUR location soon as we want to touch as many people as we can. Today, when I woke up…..way to early, I had a thought in mind. Tomorrow we have a meeting, and I am sure people will not have books. So I started calling around. I have books on the way, but they aren’t here yet. I ran to Barnes and Nobles and a quaint little book store here in the area to obtain the only 2 copies in the area of the RR book. While at the smaller bookstore, I struck up a conversation with the clerk working there. He seemed very interested in the concept of Refuge Recovery. He hopefully will be joining us for at least one meeting in the future. His addiction…..books. Literally THOUSANDS of them in his home. This just goes to show that people are intrigued by the appeal of the philosophy regardless of their addiction.
