Hello all,
I have been overwhelmed with the recent attendance at our meetings and must say that there is DEFINATELY a need for Refuge in Kalamazoo. The last couple of turn outs have been higher than expected and we are finding some great new friends along the way. For that, I thank you all. I have been working very hard to make our community amazing by working not only as the facilitator, but also the street team, web master, Facebook dude and book keeper.
I want to take a moment to thank Julie for stepping up and performing the meditations while my laryngitis clears up. I appreciate all of your patience from everyone. Our sangha is growing and it is amazing. This week we have 5 new members alone! That is exceptional and with that I want each of you to know that I am just as dedicated to providing the location and the material to continue on with our community. Speaking of which, we WILL be meeting on Christmas day. Wear your pajamas and I will bring snacks for the eating meditation.
On New Years Day, wear your ugly sweater that you bought for the Christmas holiday and get one more use out of it before you donate it or hang it up in your closet for a year. A new year brings new challenges, do not get discouraged. We are all here for each other as we have learned very recently. And keep bringing friends that have interest in the program.
For those who aren’t able to make it for the next few meetings, we understand. Please keep in mind I am only an email away and I have 8 pages of resources regardless of what you are going through. Utilize the opportunity and don’t be shy.
Happy Holidays to all.
With Much Metta-Namaste
E
