Well worth it!

Hello and seasons greetings from Refuge Recovery Kalamazoo. We hope that everyone has had a safe festive week at this point. We had a meeting today and it was very small. However, the purpose for our meetings is to be there as a member of the support group overall, and we were able to accomplish that. We had one person who is new to Refuge show up tonight. It was a fantastic meeting and they mentioned they would return again as it is more along the lines of what they were looking for as a group. It was worth it to brave the snow storm that we had, the roads (left in plenty of time to make it to the meeting on time anyway) and we made a new friend.

We are all aware of the trials of the holidays, for some of us it is our first sober holiday in a long time. This was why it was so important for us to be there this evening. Unless we post on the website that the meeting is cancelled, or on facebook, please assume we will be there. We want to ensure that we can be available when people need us the most. Even if it is one or two people, we can just sit and talk, that is okay with me. Thank you for putting the word out there within the community. It means a lot to us. Come see us on New Years Day for an ugly sweater meditation. We hope you have a safe remainder of the week.

Namaste
