These topics have been heavy in our meetings lately. It has been well rounded and well received. Our conversations usually hit home with each other, and many of us feel very comfortable talking about things together.
Impermanence is an amazing concept and realistically, when we think about it, it makes sense. I have been very forthcoming lately with a sort of “mantra” for myself, that I frequently say to myself daily. The past has happened already, nothing can change it; the future is only a moment away, if you aren’t living right now, in the moment, you are wasting your time.
Forgiveness is a huge part of our practice and the Buddhist path. What many fail to realize is that forgiveness begins with yourself. To me, that is important because if we cannot forgive ourselves for what has happened in the past, we will be self resentful in the future.
Remember to take daily for your practice, if only just to spend sometime alone, in silence or with soft music, and exist alone to ensure you balance the chaos.
Namaste,
~E
