Fucking life man….society and all the shit that comes with it. Everyone telling us what to do and how to act. I mean, seriously….we don’t ever get the opportunity to do what we want and we always have to make everyone else happy, and do so much more everyday to make everyone happy.
FALSE! CHANGE IT!
I know…easier said than done, but you don’t have to make ridiculous amounts of change all at once, when you can do so over time. When you can make little adjustments to your dissatisfaction to make it more tolerable. Break free from what society tells you to do or to think. It cannot be that simple….can it?
Okay, now that I sound like a Robbins seminar-let me explain my thought process, without sounding like some motivational speaker weirdo. First of all, take all of your self-help books….and burn them. Go ahead, I will wait. While they offer a metric fuckton (scientific measurement) amount of information…..not everything in the books are going to make your life more tolerable. They worked 100% for the author, but what you don’t see….it the bullshit they had to wade through in order to become successful by writing about the 101 things they did to unfuck themselves. I have broken EVERY self help book down into 3 easy steps…..are you ready for them?
- Do what makes you happy
- Quit conforming, if you want a dragon tattoo on your neck…..get one. If you want to do karate in the fountain in Chicago-do it. But understand that your actions may have consequences. Be an adult about your choices, but change the ones that are hurting you from your idea of success.
- Quit listening to every word your best friend Karl tells you. Karl is probably not 100% the coolest person you know, trust me-your spouse sees through it. Stop taking outside advice from other people, and do what works for you.
3 1/2 Go where your energy is reciprocated, celebrated and appreciated. Yea I know it sounds like a motivational poster…but it really is. If you aren’t accepted for who you truly are, you aren’t surrounding yourself with the right people.
So, without further adieu; here is this weeks broadcast. Thanks for stopping by.
