Community Support: Empowering Change and Recovery Advocacy

Alright Will Smith lovers, that is about the extent of the traction I give that guy, I am looking forward to the second iteration of his movie “I Am Legend”. I may look like Ebert sounded, but that’s why I stick to the keyboard instead of the big screen reviews. I review things, not movies-and, well it isn’t my passion like travel and recovery is, oh…..wait….hang on a second.

The importance of community. If you reside in a community, you should feel confident in taking refuge in that community. If you do not, find new refuge, or change it. All it takes is more people for change than against it to make it happen. That’s why I spread the word everywhere I can! If you think about it, wisdom stops primarily when we stop going to educational forums. Everything else is freelance learning. While we are given homework in school, a majority of people STILL did their research from their school book, at least they did when I remember-and I was still in college 2 years ago.

Paramedics all learn from the same standards. How they apply that information in the field is what sets them apart from the others. If they have integrity and skill, they are a good medic. If they are cocky, they they are an able but cocky medic. If they suck….well……they suck. But, a good medic company will identify that need and apply the great medic, with the mediocre. Worst case scenario, the mediocre medic, becomes a better basic-and that’s okay too! I was a GREAT basic, but did not want to be a medic. People skills are what made me a good EMT. When I started to go “inside” and self-medicate, that’s when I started resenting things.

We can all change, sometimes it’s okay to be quiet and read the words being spoken to you. Listen to that again, I said that write?

Speaking of, thank you for following me. Please share out the content, I am an aspiring author and addiction recovery advocate.
