More Information: More Reach

Hello friends, family and followers. We have some exciting information for everyone that we would like to share with you regarding our endeavors as Podcasters and Social Media promotions alike.

We recently published our 25th interview since starting the Get To Know You series on Podbean and on the website. It has been a long journey and we have been working hard to bring some entertainment to the world. If you haven’t had the opportunity to check out this series-please do so. We have created a direct link in the menu to it. It will take you to the page for each individual interview that we have completed and posted.

In addition, we have recently received our 125th follower on the Podbean app. While this doesn’t seem like much to most-understand that the average follower on Podbean has anywhere from 6-20 followers for the amateur podcaster. Podbean is the website where we record and produce our podcasts. Once produced, it goes to all the major podcasting websites such as Audible, IHeart Radio, Spotify etc. We have followers on these websites as well, but have focused on monitoring the local traffic on Podbean as it tracks our stats “At Home” before hitting the interwebs.

We started the podcast last year, but have been focusing and hitting it hard this year to promote it and do something we enjoy. My wife “Dre” has been managing the social media aspects of the show while I maintain the logistics and the interviews. We also have a handful of volunteers that consistently put us in touch with interesting people that we reach out to for interviews. Recently, we have been working hard at making connections with the families of Clubfoot Heroes such as our very own #RENNYTOK.

Why do we reach out to these people so consistently? Well, the truth is-we want our network to be as strong as possible. If we wanted to put a world tour together for a band, we would need other bands to tour with them right? We do the same thing when it comes to our network of people. Connecting others so they have additional resources. Like a verbal resource page, with real living and breathing links. It is the best way to coordinate success when it comes to overcoming adverisity in many different capacities.

We started a Go Fund Me page for our upcoming surgery for our son Rennen. There is a link to the Rainbow Khat program we are working on located on the main page of the website. Currently, our donations are to help us while he is off for surgery. Assisting with time off from work, equipment and medical needs, insurance and a financial deficit we anticipate facing. We simply ask that if you cannot contribute monetarily, share the information out. We network that way and we do what we can to make the Net Work!

Once we started to look at the GFM and the funding we were going to need, we realized that it was something bigger than just us. We as a family are not the only ones out there that have the need for minimal financial contributions. Donations via currency OR goods are accepted. We are forever grateful for the 10% raised to this point and look forward to raising more in the future for other families that are facing the same or similiar deficiencies as we are. Please, take a moment to look at our fundraiser and keep in mind-we want to take this to a larger level, but work out the kinks and logistics as we go.

We love all of you-seriously, it’s tattooed on our hands as a daily committment to stay humble, compassionate and focused on our recovery and efforts to increase our network as well as the community.

From all of us at the Gumballhead Mental Health Network: Stay Strong; Stay Focused; STAY SOBER!
